Important update about accessing your email in Gmail
You may have recently seen a message from Google about changes to Gmailify and POP3 email fetching, starting January 2026. We wanted to clarify what this means and what you may need to do.
What is changing
Google is removing a feature that allows the Gmail website to pull emails from other email providers. This affects people who view their professional email inside Gmail on desktop using Gmailify or POP3.
This is a Google change. Nothing is changing with your email account or our servers.
What this means for you
• Your email is safe and messages are still being delivered as normal
• Sending emails from your professional address via Gmail still works
• The Gmail app on iPhone and Android is not affected
• Only Gmail on desktop is impacted if you rely on email fetching
How to keep things working on desktop
One simple option is to switch from email fetching to email forwarding. This means emails are pushed to Gmail instantly instead of being pulled.
In this short video, I walk you through how to set this up if your email is hosted with us.
If you’d like us to do this for you, or if you notice emails no longer appearing in Gmail on desktop, just message us and we’ll help.
